Hi, I’m Karisa Sava, a passionate, professional makeup artist with over a decade of experience helping women feel confident, beautiful, and empowered. Since launching my career in 2011, I’ve worked across all areas of the beauty industry, from bridal parties to L'Oréal brand campaigns, and everything in between. Whether I’m applying makeup or custom-blending the perfect lipstick shade, my mission is simple: to help every woman feel proud of her appearance.

As a mother of three, I feel incredibly fortunate to do what I love every day and to show my children that it’s possible to turn your passion into a thriving, meaningful career.

The SMACKbyKarisa Story

In 2015, I launched SMACKbyKarisa, a lipstick line born from a desire to give clients custom, one-of-a-kind shades tailored just for them. Each lipstick is handcrafted using a unique blend of waxes, pigments, and scents to create a completely personalized product.

Over the years, the brand has grown into a full line of clean, skin-loving beauty products, from anti-aging serums to mascaras & airbrush foundations.

Professional Training & Credentials

My work is rooted in education, hands-on experience, and a deep commitment to quality. I take pride in delivering detail-oriented, dependable, and professional artistry every time.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Managing Esthetics License – Casal Aveda Institute, Canfield, OH

  • Permanent Cosmetics Certification – Nouveau Contour Academy, Orlando, FL

  • Certified Lip Mixologist – ColorLab Cosmetics, Rockford, IL

I stay current with all continuing education requirements and am committed to keeping my skills fresh and innovative.

I’ve had the honor of working with leading brands and participating in major industry events, including:

  • International Make-Up Artist Trade Show – New York City

  • Pro Makeup Artist for L’Oréal Cosmetics, C. Wonder, and Rent the Runway

I provide on-location makeup services for a variety of special occasions and events:

  • Senior & Engagement Photos

  • Dance Makeup  ....and so much more

Additional Offerings:

  • Private Makeup Lessons – One-on-one or group classes (up to 10 people)

  • Personalized Lipstick Parties – Individual or group events (up to 15 guests)

  • Birthday Parties - Individual or group events (no minimum number at my office, max 6 girls at my office. To Travel: minimum is 3, but no max when coming to you.)

Located in Howland, OH, I’m happy to travel to you or your venue to make your experience as seamless and stress-free as possible — especially on your biggest days.
